First Aid

BSW CCG carried out a first aid risk assessment which covers all its sites - this has been adopted by the ICB.

While colleagues are generally working from home, the ICB will not routinely have on-site first aiders to provide an emergency response. We will ensure that first aid boxes are stocked and advise colleagues to contact the most senior person on site if there are any issues.

In the event of a medical emergency you should ring 999 and request an ambulance. Do not try to locate a first aider before calling an ambulance. Most sites are equipped with defibrillators that you do not need training to use.

When demand for on-site working increases, we will review first aid provision and instigate appropriate arrangements.
