Gordon Muvuti, Director of Place - Swindon
Gordon joined us in June 2022 from Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust where he had been seconded as Transformation Director from Solent NHS Trust.
At Solent, Gordon was the Director of Strategy and Partnerships and Senior Responsible Officer for the Community Mental Health Transformation programme across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care system. He supported the Trust to develop its successful partnership with the Isle of Wight NHS Trust which contributed to the significant improvement of services for the community on the island.
Gordon is an experienced NHS leader and has been a registered mental health nurse for over 20 years. For much of his early career, Gordon worked in front line roles across all clinical areas in mental health from children to older adults. His leadership career has included wide-ranging leadership roles, including in governance, quality improvement, as well as several senior operational roles in community and mental health trusts, referral to treatment performance improvement in Acute Trusts, and a senior strategic lead role in the Clinical Commissioning Groups in North East London.
Gordon is also a trustee of the YMCA Southampton which supports thousands of children, young people and families every year.
